“Screaming adios as I level up on all of my foes” are the opening lines of Brampton rapper JACOBI IV‘s new project THE COLLECTION II, and a level up this is indeed. Though his now deleted Sade House EP showed promise and glimpses of greatness, it largely didn’t capture the artist he is and can be. His new project however improves on all angles. His raps are smarter, flows tighter, melodies more entrancing and style just plain fresh-er. This growth, atleast to me, signals even more great things to come, so I’d start paying attention now. Its also worth noting that this project only runs 4 songs deep while exploring a few different sounds, so a full listen is recommended.
